Accessibility Statement

Version: 1.0

This statement was last updated on 14/08/2025.

We at ARUKA are working to make our site accessible to all people, including those with disabilities.

ARUKA is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are dedicated to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We have made a commitment to creating an "accessible and impactful" website for our organisation.

Conformance Status:

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. We are currently working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.

Efforts to Support Accessibility:

Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in our design and development choices, including:

  • Clear Language: We use simple, clear language to make our content easy to understand for a diverse audience.

  • Semantic Structure: We use headings, lists, and other structural elements to make the content well-organised and navigable.

  • Alternative Text: We provide alternative text descriptions for all images to ensure that users who rely on screen readers can understand the visual content.

  • Colour and Contrast: We strive to ensure sufficient colour contrast between text and background to make it easier to read for users with visual impairments.

  • Keyboard Navigation: The website is designed to be fully navigable using only a keyboard, without the need for a mouse.

  • Responsive Design: The website is designed to work across all devices and screen sizes, including mobile phones and tablets.

Limitations and Feedback:

Despite our best efforts, some parts of our website may not be fully accessible as we are still in the process of building it. We are always working to improve the user experience for everyone.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the ARUKA Fiji website. If you encounter accessibility barriers on our site, please let us know via our contact form.
